Welcome To Milton

Milton, located in Southern Ontario, is part of the Halton Region in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).  It was the fastest growing municipality between in Canada between 2001 and 2011.  In 1853, it was designated the County Town of Halton.  Milton is not only for the historian but there is also many areas for nature lovers to find a new home.  Residents can enjoy hiking, outdoor recreation, and biking.  It is a blend of urban, rural, and historic and modern.    It has a growing a growing diverse community. Milton is approximately 40 km west of Toronto. Milton’s urban core is located south of Highway 401. It is located between Mississauga and Hamilton, right in the centre of Halton Region.  Nearby is Burlington and Oakville.  It has a GO Train station making it accessible to downtown.

Milton has many beautiful conservations and things to do, here are a few:

25 minutes from the downtown core is the Halton County Radical Railway Museum.  Visit the museum to learn some history and take a ride on the electric railway.

The Kelso Conservation is a great place for biking and hiking. Many people come in the summer to star gaze.
